Anti-counterfeiting measures
ABOUT
Our Initiatives Against Counterfeit Products
All items handled by our store are appraised based on strict standards.
We are working as a company to prevent the distribution of counterfeit and illegal products, ensuring that our customers can shop with peace of mind.
Below, we introduce the main measures ANTIQURIOUS is taking against counterfeit products.
MULTI-STAGE INSPECTION
Strict 5-Stage Authenticity Verification Process
All products undergo five independent verification steps from procurement to final sale. In each step, specialized staff scrutinize the products according to their respective criteria, achieving reliable authenticity verification through a multi-layered structure.
-
1
Buy-in AssessmentVerification during purchase assessment
Specialized buyers who have completed ANTIQURIOUS's unique in-house training and gained a certain amount of practical experience verify the authenticity of the product during the appraisal.
-
2
Overhaul InspectionVerification during disassembly and cleaning
During disassembly and cleaning, watchmakers meticulously inspect the parts, structure, engravings, and finish inside the movement, scrutinizing even areas that are difficult to discern from the exterior.
-
3
Photography InspectionVerification during photography
During photography for the e-commerce site, the photography staff visually inspects the case, dial, and all details.
-
4
E-commerce ListingVerification during e-commerce listing
When listing product information on the e-commerce site, the listing staff re-confirms the authenticity and condition of the product along with the description of its state.
COUNTERFEIT DATABASE
Establishment and Company-wide Sharing of Counterfeit Product Information Database
We operate an internal system that promptly distributes information to all staff when counterfeit products are identified. Data is updated daily from each location, accumulating characteristics and trends of counterfeit products. During monthly training, we conduct skill checks for buyers and share the latest counterfeit trends based on accumulated data, aiming for continuous improvement in appraisal accuracy.
INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION
Member of the Association Against Counterfeit Product Distribution (AACD)
The "Association Against Counterfeit Product Distribution (AACD)" is a private organization established with the aim of preventing and eliminating the influx of counterfeit and illegal goods into the imported product market through cooperation among member companies, and of excluding dealers distributing illegal goods from the market. Its mission is to protect general consumers by improving the social standing of the industry and forming a fair competitive market.
ANTIQURIOUS is a full member of the "Association Against Counterfeit Product Distribution (AACD)" and is continuously working to create an environment where customers can shop with peace of mind based on the association's strict standards.
AACD's Screening of Auction Items
At the monthly large-scale auctions, AACD conducts screenings. Experts check whether all exhibited items meet the association's standards, and items that do not meet the standards are not allowed to be exhibited. This is an important system for enhancing the overall reliability of the industry.
AACD Certified Appraisers On Staff
ANTIQURIOUS has AACD certified appraisers on staff. Led by these appraisers and veteran buyers with over 10 years of appraisal experience, we regularly share authenticity information and conduct purchasing training. This ensures that our appraisal system can respond to the latest counterfeiting techniques.
